This month, we headed down to London, where we found a wonderful craft beer bar and lots of new brews. We also made a start on a selection from Harrogate-based Cold Bath Brewing, had a couple of banging brews from Arbor, and had a lovely wheat beer on our Blade.

But before I share more about what we’ve been drinking, here are the details of my next new brew event.

In-Person Event (Leeds): October 3rd

I’m hosting my next in-person event in Leeds on Friday October 3rd at the fantastic Tetley.

You can register here. It’s completely free - I just need an idea of numbers, so let me know what time you are likely to arrive and whether you are bringing a friend (or two).

Venue shout-outs

Before I dive into what we’ve been drinking this month, I wanted to mention a fantastic bar we found during our recent trip to London.

Cask opened in 2009 and was one of the first craft beer bars in London. It has won many awards and accolades, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Upcoming beer festivals

There are a fair few beer festivals coming up in Yorkshire in the next few weeks, so I thought I’d give some of them a shoutout.

What we’ve been drinking in August…

And finally, here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been drinking in August

New Brews at Home

New Brews Out and About

As always, we’ve been on the lookout for tasty new brews when we’re out and about, and we found a fair few, including these:

What’s on the menu for September?

We’ll be heading up north for the Great North Run, where we’ll be on the lookout for some new brews. Mid-month, we’ve got a short trip to Poznan booked, and I’ve already found a craft beer bar offering 16 taps and over 200 bottled beers. Plus, our first homebrew is in the fridge, cold crashing, so we’ll be finding out how well we did very soon.

Feel free to send me your recommendations, and I’d love you to join me in person for a new brew at my next in-person event on October 3rd.

Cheers!
