We’ve had a busy month getting course PBs in the Leeds 10k, squeezing in a visit to Whitelock’s for their Beer Fest, grabbing a couple of beers in Manchester, spending a week in the beautiful Bay of Kotor and then popping over to Sheffield to see Def Leppard. And throughout our travels we’ve been trying plenty of delicious new brews.
Here’s a rundown of our favourite new brews for June 2026.
Faith x Jarl x Pale Ale by Northern Monk x Fyne Ales x New Barns (UK)

Pale Ale 4.8%
We tried this collab beer alongside the three beers that inspired it - Faith, Jarl and New Barns Pale Ale. It was thick with lots of stone fruit flavour and slightly less bitterness than Jarl or New Barns. Unfortunately, it is no longer available to buy, but luckily the beers that inspired it are.
Brewer’s note: For our penultimate release celebrating 10 Years of Faith, we’re paying homage to the shared heritage of our co-founders, Russ and Bri.
Newbarns, brewers of Leith, and Fyne Ales, nestled next to the waters of their namesake Loch, are both champions of Scottish brewing. Known for their skill at balancing the bold flavours of the US with a more sessionable British sensibility.
The outcome of this auspicious occasion is a more, dare we say, traditional take on Faith. Bringing a brightness and bite to the hop character of the beer. A small step up in bitterness, with the profile of a classic pale ale while maintaining the juiciness we’ve come to know and love in Faith.

Range of Light by Horsforth Brewery (Leeds, UK)

Pale Ale 5%
This was one of the cask ales we tried at the Whitelock’s Beer Fest and it was creamy, biscuity and full-bodied with a nice bitter finish. We still haven’t made it to the Horsforth Brewrery taproom yet, but it is on our to-do list and we’re hoping to make it to their Brewed in Leeds festival in August.

Profesor Hopppss by Akademija Brewery (Montenegro)

Pale Ale 5.6%
We picked up five Akademija beers on our first day in Montenegro and this one was our favourite. It was fruity with blood orange and grapefruit flavours and a slight bitterness. You can find it in many of the supermarkets in Kotor, so if you are in the area, make sure you pick up a can or two.

Planina by The Garden Brewery (Croatia)

Imperial Stout 10.3%
We tried a couple of Garden Brewery beers when we were in Croatia last year, and even found one of their beers in Asda a few months ago, so when we saw this Affogato Stout in Montenegro, we just had to grab a couple of cans. It didn’t disappoint with a good body and lots of roasty, chocolatey, coffee flavours.
Brewer’s note: Inspired by the Italian classic: Espresso, Cacao & Madagascan Vanilla

BEER OF THE MONTH
8th Birthday Pale by Anthology (Leeds, UK)

Pale Ale 4.5%
We love cask ale and we love supporting local breweries so we’re super happy that this month’s beer of the month ticks both boxes. We had this Anthology pale at Whitelock’s and it was excellent. Lots of citrus flavours with a quick finish and no lingering bitterness. A worthy winner of our beer of the month for June.

Honourable mention
These new brews didn’t quite make it into our top five, but we still feel they are worth a mention.
Cherry Stone by Lymestone Brewery (Staffordshire, UK)

Fruit Beer 5.2%
We came across this in Manchester and it just has to get a mention. Usually a cherry beer would be dark or red but this one was light in colour. It was fruity but malty, and very full-bodied. It wasn’t super sweet like some fruity beers, but the cherry flavours definitely came through. A very good beer.
Brewer’s note: Biscuit pale malts provide the backdrop for this sumptuous fruit beer. Amoretti cherries and fresh Hersbrucker hops delicately combine in an autumn harvest.

Revisited
Not a new brew but a beer we’ve revisited recently because it’s one of our favourites.
Jarl by Fyne Ales (Scotland)

Golden Ale 3.8%
We’ve tried Jarl before and both agree it’s a great beer, so it was good to try it again alongside Faith (one of our favourite beers), the New Barns Pale Ale, and the collab inspired by all three brews. It has a sweet maltiness and a light bitterness, making it a nicely balanced beer.
Brewer’s note: Vibrant grapefruit and delicate lemon flavours with a refreshing finish. Jarl is our flagship, flavour-forward, single-hop session blonde ale brewed as a showcase of American hop, Citra.
