The month started strong with a day at Dark & Wild festival, where we sampled some truly exceptional new brews. We popped to Brewery Wharf Tavern for the first time (well worth a visit). And we also tried plenty of new brews at home before squeezing in a last-minute holiday to Antalya, Türkiye, where we sampled various versions of Efes.
But before I share more about what we’ve been drinking, here are the details of the next new brew events.
Online New Brew Networking
Sign up, grab a new brew, then log in for a friendly chat.
You'll be asked to introduce yourself, tell us a bit about your business, and let us know what you’re drinking. Once everyone has done this, we’ll just chat about whatever comes up.
There are no sales pitches or presentations. It’s just a group of business owners having a beer together. And don’t worry if you’re planning a Dry January - there are loads of great non-alcoholic brews available.
Venue Shout-Out: Brewery Wharf Tavern, Leeds
Brewery Wharf Tavern opened a couple of months ago, and we’ve been meaning to check it out. It’s run by the same people who run Whitelock’s, and it’s within walking distance of our house, so it would be silly not to.
This month, we finally got around to popping in (although we only had time for one beer). It offers a decent range of local brews, and the food menu looks pretty good too. We’ll definitely be going back - we might even use it for one of our in-person new brew events.

What We’ve Been Drinking in November…
Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been drinking in November.
Dark & Wild Festival
We started the month at Northern Monk’s Dark & Wild festival, and it was worth every penny. In total, we sampled 13 beers, ranging from 5.5% to 13.98%. There was not a single bad beer amongst the brews we tried, and in isolation, any one of them could have made our beer of the month. We’ve already booked tickets for Hop City in May.

Dark & Wild 2025
A day of wild ales, barley wines & stouts...

New Brews at Home
We’ve had some lovely beers at home this month, including a lovely barrel-aged brew from Adnams, a couple of IPAs from Stewart Brewing, and three great beers from Marks & Spencer (worth popping in to your local to see what they have).

New Brews Out and About
As always, we’ve been on the lookout for tasty new brews when we’re out and about, and we found a fair few, including these:

Top 5 & Beer of the Month
What’s on the Menu for December?
We’ve got a trip to Bucharest planned, and rumour is, craft beer is big in Romania right now, so we’ll definitely be hunting down some new brews during our visit.
We’ll also be lining up some tasty Christmas beers (which will almost certainly involve some decadent stouts and at least one Fuller’s Vintage Ale).
And as always, we’ll be on the lookout for interesting new brews when we’re out and about.
I’m always open to recommendations, so do let me know good beers you’ve been drinking recently, and I hope to see you at my next new brew event in a few days.
Cheers!
